刚坐下他就开始对着我叫“Sir, can you buy me a cup of coffee?”

I saw you put it into your pocket"--原来是个女无赖,只能再装不懂英文。。。。

    终于等来了朋友的车,还是旧款的BMW7。下午便去了朋友的大学,见识了当地最大的教堂。迟些补上照片。印象最深的是地下室里乳白色的圣母像,周围点满白色的蜡烛,圣洁的让我不敢呼气。教堂顶上的耶稣像极有压迫感。之后又去了national mall, 类似于北京的长安街,两侧全是monuments 和博物馆,还看了看capital hill。但时间不够,没有细逛便去朋友家了。

    第二天是重头戏。早上吃了IHOP---international house of pan cake,名字很大,但还是上海的蛋饼更好吃。然后便搭地铁去市区,开始一共5个小时的步行,同行的女生事后愤恨不已,说到美国后5年走的路也没有那天多。

    游玩的顺序是Arlington National Cemetery-->Lincoln memorial-->Reflecting pool-->Vietnam War wall-->Korean War Wall-->Washington monument-->Jefferson Memorial。

     Arlington National Cemetery那满山遍野的白色小坟头甚是可爱,再加上蓝色的天和充足的光照,心情好的不得了。华盛顿我拍的最多的就是这些小坟头。国家公墓建成这个样子人人都愿意来。逛了一圈才发觉国内的爱国教育不是太多,而是太少。美国小孩子们都安安静静的瞻仰着他们烈士的坟头。

    Korean War Wall我是抱着战胜国的心态去看看的。不过老美对于这场战争明显有着不同的定义。但看着战争数据,还是很为那个时候的解放军感到自豪的。

    其他景点不赘述,请看照片。当天晚上去吃了牛排,给出了平生最贵的小费,12 USD,入乡随俗。
    之后去了少儿不宜的地方体验“本地文化”,甚是失望,看来不可以相信网上的评分。

    第三日从朋友在Virginia的家出发走小路去George Town。途中的怡人风光令人难忘,小山路,马场,庄园。George Town也是很有特色的地方,矮房子的小镇,住过不少名人,以后补上照片。也吃到了装潢最简陋的Haagen Daz。然后赶去白宫,白宫的屋顶上站着狙击手,当我们用照相机聚焦的时候,他们应该也在聚焦我们,只不过用的是瞄准器。与女警合照的愿望也遭到拒绝。911后遗症。

下午去了National Gallery of Art。

Last but not least, have fun in the States and take the most out of it!

Wasington DC is the second city I have been since I came to American last summer.
Honestly, I feel it is just not what I expected as the capital of USA.
Even the white house is too small and it is hard for me to imagine the internal of it.
I really saw too much from the movies, I think. They are all made in Hollywood!

Well, anyway, the city gave me another taste of American Life and I cannot tell it is good or not.
At least, I assume it is more secrue than others because that is the goverments' places.
If given enough time, I will enjoy the whole time in the museums. The exhibitions are surely wonderful and also free to public as well. I am sure I will back to DC soon.

Liu: In fact, the DC is also your second city visiting in American. I didnt know you are such a guy like writing the blog and sharing the feelings. Maybe 'cause I am not quite that person. But I am glad we have a great time in Washington DC. Everything is good including the weather and night life. I bet that what impressed you most is that you could speak Shanghainess with us and have the traditional  Shanghai dishes here! Am I right? or you will say the club?

Plus, welcome you to visit my space with only the pictures since I have been here.
If you like, please leave any messages to tell me what exactly you feel about this trip.
